Is located on Mount Avala, near Belgrade, and is 204.57 meters high. Avala tower has always been one of the symbols of Belgrade. Coming or returning to the city, you’ll know you arrived to Belgrade the moment you see the Tower. Original tower was built in the 1965 year. It was the work of architects Uglješa Bogdanovic and Slobodan Janjic as well as academic Milan Krstic. Until its destruction by NATO bombs April 29, 1999. it was the tallest structure in the Balkans.
It was renovated and officially opened again in 2010. The new tower offers a restaurant and panoramic viewpoint.
